The Company was founded in 1983 by the members of the agricultural collective Moshav Shavei Zion, located in the north of Israel. Today the Company is owned by Shalam Packaging Ltd. and Michael Smeltzer, CEO SZP Packaging Products Ltd.
For over 30 years, SZP has been developing, designing and producing semi-rigid extruded plastic sheets together with trays, lids, and other thermoformed packaging products.
SZP is particularly proud of their high barrier sheets and packages that prevent gases, such as oxygen, from reaching the food inside, significantly extending shelf-life.
